Week 46

So its been a while since I've sent out an email to everyone so I have some catching up to do. I'll start with some awesome news. When I was serving in Palmdale, I was on an exchange with another  missionary and him and I found a lady named Clotee. She was the nicest lady and she had met with missionaries before and had member friends who would take her to church. But her member friends moved away and then 20 years went by. Then she met us on the street. After we found her, Elder Bankhead and I started teaching her and she shared about how much of a miracle it was that we ran into her that day. She said she wanted to have her great granddaughter baptized and so we were in the process of trying to teach her as well when I got transferred. But a couple of weeks ago I got the news that they were both baptized! I was so happy to hear that news! I'll send a picture of them!
Also, another cool experience I was able to do the baptismal interview for  a man named Fernando. The Elders in our Zone who were teaching him mentioned that he was really nervous for the interview and so I tried to help him see that it wasn't something to be worried about and as we went through the questions and I got to know him he really opened up. He invited me to be a witness at his baptism and it was a great opportunity for me to be a part of that. He also asked if I would stand in the confirmation circle the next day at church. I don't have a picture with him but I might soon! He invited all of the missionaries he knows to a pday grill at his house in about a month. We honestly find some of the coolest people out here! There are great people everywhere!

Here are some things that have been on my mind throughout the last couple weeks:
Every single day, no matter what, find a reason to smile.
Ask questions.
It feels good to do the right thing.
Keep moving forward, the Lord will provide!
Never let a day go by without reading the scriptures.

I hope everyone has a great week this week! And Happy Mother's Day to all of the Moms, Future Moms, and to women who Mother other people's children! Treat yo self!
