Week 43
Dear Everyone,
This week was great! We worked super hard and saw awesome
results because of it! We had some great exchanges and great lessons. The work
here is moving forward and it's amazing to be a part of! It amazes me how the
Lord leads us to people who He has been preparing for us. He leads us to people
who have met with missionaries before and he leads us to people who have
forgotten the testimonies they once had. We were lead this week to so many
people. It's amazing how looking back you can see just how guided the events of
your day can be. I know this is His work, not mine. It feels good to do our
best to bring about His will in our area. Something that I've been trying to
keep track of is my personal progression. As a missionary I keep track of a lot
of other people's progression and it can be easy to lose track of my own. That
might sound kind of silly but I think I'm struggling with it right now because
Heavenly Father needs me to learn it and make it a habit for the rest of my
life. Actually, if anyone has suggestions for how I can keep track of my
progress that would be awesome! But so far I think I'm realizing how crucial
the role of prayer is. But not only praying but remembering what we pray for
and working to do our part to bring about what we pray for. I don't have much
more time to write today but I wanted to share one thing that made this week
great. We have been teaching two girls over the weeks that I have been here and
they are sisters. We have struggled to connect with them sometimes but this
past visit we had with them we had a really good lesson about what we as
missionaries do and why we do it. Most importantly we talked about what that
means for them. We had a member about their age come and teach with us at the
lesson too and that was great. They came to church yesterday and they said they
liked it and they learned a lot. And then at the end of the day, the older of
the two girls posted a picture of the Book of Mormon on Facebook and said it
was the best book ever! And she said it made her cry! Elder Broadhead and I
were so happy to see that it meant enough to her that she would post about it!
We are seeing amazing things happening in this area. The work really is moving
forward! Be a part of it! I hope everyone has a great week this week! Feel free
to tell me about the things you learn! Thank you for all your prayers and
emails!
Love,
Elder Anderson
