Week 37
Hey Everyone! The time feels like it is flying by this
transfer! I can't believe this week is my fifth week in this area! I've loved
all my areas so far on my mission so I feel really lucky. The ward here is
really nice and the people we are teaching are awesome. I'm getting to know the
ward here more and that helps a lot with adjusting to a new area.
We had some really cool experiences this week. First of all
we were able to go to Bakersfield to have an exchange and I was companions with
an Elder named Elder Broadhead for a day. It was cool to think that was the
first time I've ever done missionary work actually in Bakersfield. I've spent
my whole mission in the Antelope Valley so far haha so it was neat to be in
Bakersfield. It's cool to see other missionaries doing what I do everyday just
in a different area. And it's even cooler to think that missionaries are all
over the world doing exactly what I'm doing here. It's was a really good
exchange and then the following day we had interviews with our mission
President down in Palmdale and those went really well. He gave me some really
good advice to continue my personal progression. My mission President is a
really smart guy and he isn't just smart but he definitely has the Spirit with
him and he is inspired and so being able to get council from him means a lot to
me. I know that I'm on this mission exactly when I need to be to learn what I
need to learn. A huge part of learning is being humble and listening to someone
who knows what you need to learn. We're looking for people who are willing to
learn more and I think we should all be looking to learn more. I hope everyone
had a great week this week! I'm doing really well out here. I'm so glad to be
on my mission right now.
So something that Elder Bankhead and I struggle with is
taking pictures haha but I'll try to be better. But for now this will have to do!
1. We arent convinced this is actually a scripture haha but
it was a great opportunity for a scripture.
