Week 29
Dear everyone,
This week was great! We met some interesting people, learned
new skills, made some great friends, and taught the Gospel. It feels great to
be a missionary. Sometimes I still cant believe I am where I am, doing what I'm
doing. We are teaching some amazing people who have strong testimonies that
keep growing. We are teaching a couple who have the struggles of everyday
people who are trying to succeed in life and raise a family who knows who God
is. I love teaching. I feel like I learn while I'm teaching other people. They
have questions that I've never been asked and they have points of view that I
don't have. I cant comprehend how Christ and our Heavenly Father can so
perfectly understand everyone haha there are so many of us! But I know they do
know each of us! This week in particular I spent a lot of time thinking about
my Heavenly Father. I learned a lot about who He is and strengthened my
testimony of what His desires for us are. I know He is the Father of our
Spirits and that we can one day become like He is. I know He knows joy more
purely than any of us do. And I know He wants us to have that joy. I know He
wants us to return to live with Him. To make that possible I know He sent His
Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Savior and Redeemer. I know He sees our potential
more clearly than we will ever be able to in this life. I know He loves me. I
know He loves each and everyone of His children here on Earth. His love for us
will never stop. I know He has a plan for us. That plan can definitely be hard
to understand at times and hard to trust, especially because we cant see it all
unfolded before us like He can. But I know He wants us to have faith. As I've
come to learn more about who my Heavenly Father is and who I am in relation to
Him, it's easier to trust that plan. I want to share some scriptures that have
helped me come to know, through feeling the power of the Holy Ghost, that my
Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love me.
Doctrine and Covenants 88:63 "Draw near unto me and I
will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me; ask, and ye
shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."
Doctrine and Covenants 38:1-2 "Thus saith the Lord your
God, even Jesus Christ, the Great I Am, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the
end, the same which looked upon the wide expanse of eternity, and all the
seraphic hosts of heaven, before the world was made; The same which knoweth all
things, for all things are present before mine eyes;"
Doctrine and Covenants 3:1-2 "The works, and the
designs, and the purposes of God cannot be frustrated, neither can they come to
naught. For God doth not walk in crooked paths, neither doth he turn to the
right hand nor to the left, neither doth he vary from that which he hath said,
therefore his paths are straight, and his course is one eternal round."
Moses 1:35 "...all things are numbered unto me, for
they are mine and I know them"
So last week I didn't send an email, so this week I do have
